New York Trip

July 2005


In early July 2005, we took a trip to upstate New York.

The occasion was a family event - a graduation - and we also took time to go see where
Bill Connors (Sharon's father) grew up. This is the town of Auburn
in Cayuga County - part of the Finger Lakes district.

For those that don't know where this is (NY State is MUCH MORE than NY City),
here is a map that shows the layout of the State:

As you can see from this map, NYC (which many people think of as "New York", is nowhere near where we went!
In fact, for this trip, we flew in and out of Buffalo - right over to the west of the state, as we wanted to go visit Niagra Falls. This we did and spent a very hot and exhausting afternoon over the boarder in Canada.
